START:

1. Decide you want to start training in Stage Combat

2. Complete/Pass Basic Certification Workshop

You are now BASIC CERTIFIED

 

1. Continue training until Basic skills are solid.

2. Get invited into an Intermediate Certification Workshop

3. Complete/Pass Basic Certification Workshop

You are now INTERMEDIATE CERTIFIED

 

1. Continue training until Intermediate skills are solid

2. Get invited in an Advanced Certification Workshop

3. Complete/Pass Advanced Certification Workshop

You are now ADVANCED CERTIFIED

 

NEXT:

1. Decide you want to become an Instructor

2. Choose a Mentor, and have them accept you

3. Train with your Mentor

   1. Mentor will begin to teach you how to teach

   2. Mentor will give you practical experience assisting and teaching with them

   3. Gather the required amount of assisting/teaching hours

   4. Mentor will ensure that you have all the skills required in order to pass a Level 1 Instructors Workshop

 

1. Apply to ASCA for acceptance into a Level 1 Instructors Workshop

2. Complete/Pass Level 1 Instructors Workshop

You are now LEVEL 1 INSTRUCTOR CERTIFIED

 

1. Continue to train with Mentor, begin to teach, and work, in the industry

   1. Mentor will continue to teach you how to teach, and choreograph

   2. Mentor will give you practical experience assisting and teaching with them

   3. Begin to organize and teach your own Basic Workshops

   4. Begin to choreograph small jobs (implementing only the ‘combat/weapon systems’, and equivalents, found within the Basic curriculum) under your Mentor’s supervision

   5. Gather the required amount of assisting/teaching hours

   6. Mentor will ensure that you have all the skills required in order to pass a Level 2 Instructors Workshop

 

1. Apply to ASCA for acceptance into a Level 2 Instructors Workshop

2. Complete/Pass Level 2 Instructors Workshop

You are now LEVEL 2 INSTRUCTOR CERTIFIED

 

1. Continue to train with Mentor, continue to teach, and work, in the industry

   1. Mentor will begin to teach you how to teach, and choreograph

   2. Mentor will give you practical experience assisting, teaching and choreographing with them

   3. Gather the required amount of assisting/teaching hours

   4. Begin to organize and teach your own Basic & Intermediate Workshops

   5. Begin to choreograph small jobs (implementing only the ‘combat/weapon systems’, and equivalents, found within the Basic and Intermediate curriculums) under your Mentor’s supervision

   6. Mentor will ensure that you have all the skills required in order to pass a Full Instructors Workshop

 

1. Apply to ASCA for acceptance into a Full Instructors Workshop

2. Complete/Pass Full Instructors Workshop

You are now FULL INSTRUCTOR CERTIFIED

 

1. Continue to train with Mentor, continue to teach, and work, in the industry

   1. Mentor will continue to teach you how to teach, and choreograph

   2. Mentor will give you practical experience assisting, teaching and choreographing with them

   3. Gather the required amount of assisting/teaching hours

   4. Begin to organize and teach your own Basic & Intermediate Workshops

   5. Begin to choreograph small jobs (implementing only the ‘combat/weapon systems’, and equivalents, found within the Basic, Intermediate & Advanced curriculums) under your Mentor’s supervision

   6. Mentor will ensure that you have all the skills required in order to pass a Fight Directors Workshop

 

1. Seek Mentors decision/approval to apply for Fight Director Workshop

2. Apply to ASCA for acceptance into a Fight Directors Workshop

3. Complete/Pass Fight Directors Workshop

You are now FIGHT DIRECTOR CERTIFIED

 

1. Continue on your own way/career.
